Mariët and Hans van der Sluijs learn to know each other in scouting (sea scouts).
Knots, First Aid, compass techniques, starting a fire, cooking, rowing, cooperation and perseverance.
It all has become very useful.

In 1998 we can stop our careers and sell the house in the Netherlands.

Our yacht  'Alexandra' becomes our new shelter and from that time on we sail and enjoy a beautiful nautical environment
and interesting contacts with the inhabitants of the islands (large and small) in the oceans of the world.
